IoT Network Hub is an internet of things community in Ghana at the Ghana-Indian Kofi Annan Centre of Excellence in ICT (AITI-KACE). The community was founded in 5th September, 2016 by two alumni from AITI-KACE.
IoT Network Hub is the largest and fastest growing tech community in west Africa with over 2000 members in Ghana, chapters in Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda and Gambia, it’s a community of tech enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, businessmen and women, investors, marketers etc. teaming together to solve problems and challenges in Ghana and the Africa Continent using emerging technologies by sharing ideas, combining skills, assisting members with their projects, training upcoming tech enthusiasts and many more.
For the past two years since we started IoT Network Hub we focused on capacity building and creating awareness, this has been very successful and encouraging looking at the numbers so far, our reach and exposures, both locally and international.
In the years ahead we are focusing more on brainstorming, problems solving, coming up with innovative solutions or ideas to address sustainable development goals and building them into start-ups.
The Internet has already brought hundreds of millions of people together and created unlimited connections that were never possible before — but this is just the beginning.
The Internet of Things (IoT) is here and it is going to transform our lives even better than before. The implications of IoT are huge: The entire planet will become a unified, brain-like system. Though it sounds like a far-off, futuristic concept, but IoT is imminent.
As Gartner predicts a connection of more than 25 billion devices churning out data communicating over the internet, massively expanding internet of things infrastructure, IoT is changing our lives and how we live and work already. There are more than 12 billion devices that can currently connect to the Internet, and researchers at IDC estimate that by 2020 there will be 26 times more connected things than people.
To build the smartest knowledge hubs of futuristic technologies in our generation, to learn and share knowledge, builds innovative and cutting edge solutions to address problems facing the Africa Continent.
We have diverse and brilliant minds in all fields capable of solving every complex problem,
We are “IoTHubers“

Smart Home System
An Internet of Things(IoT) device that allows house owners to control their lights, AC, fridge and all electrical appliances with their phone wherever they are, it also allow them to monitor energy consumption of each appliances, this help in utilizing the efficiency of energy in the homes and offices and cut down cost.
Smart Bin System
An IoT device that sends the location of the bin to the collector whenever it’s full. This device will be attached to the lid of the bin to help with effective waste collection.
Smart Fire Detector
An IoT device that detects smoke, LPG, CO3, Temperature and humidity in the kitchen, offices and filling stations, it notifies the users wherever they are, users can also monitor readings on their phone wherever they are.
Smart Anti-Bush Fire
An IoT devices and irrigation system to combat bushfire, this system detects bushfires and automatically irrigates the boundaries of the area using artificial intelligence and Internet of things. This stops the fire from spreading and burning the people’s farms whiles they are asleep.
Pesfleet is and Internet of things project that aim to establish an interconnected network of vehicles, offering real-time and remote diagnostics, monitoring, service alerts, software performance tuning, fleet management and blockchain solutions. Pesfleet also connects vehicles to repair and mechanic shops, spare parts dealers, parking spaces real time at the point of need using artificial intelligence and internet of things. This won Africa Entrepreneurship Awards, the most significant and sustainable in Africa. Top 30 out of 5000.
AgriFeed&Fertilizer is a platform that aims to recycle agriculture waste into feeds, fertilizers, and energy and many more using IoT, artificial intelligence and blockchain. Ghana produces over 15 million metric tons of cassava; 2 million metric tons of maize and 1 million metric ton of rice in 2014 – 2016, one third of all the produce are wasted. This solution won an award organized by Africa Open Data Research Institute, UNDP and iati.
